Remember my craving for Korean Maize?
I checked with several supermarkets here. And 1 of them informed me that they MIGHT be ordering some of those colourful maize/s for Halloween in October.
"MIGHT only hor. Don't quote me ah. No guarantees la." Said the market sales person.
Sigh.
Well, I don't think I can wait that long. So, luckily my friend Ja, who's still in Seoul was so kind to agree to buy those lovely maize/s and courier them to me in Singapore. I was so looking forward to eating them so much that I have failed to realise how expensive it would be to send them over to me.
I mean, those vacuum-packed maize/s can be bought at 1000 won at Buy The Way Supermarkets anywhere in Seoul. But the postal charges would cost 20 times more.
So, I told Ja to forget it. Sigh.
She did promise to bring them back for me when she returns to Singapore. Except that she's not sure when she'll return.
The thing is, these maize/s are usually available in the summer, especially along the streets, steamed in rice pots, sold by ajummas and halmonis.
Oh...I want those .....so badly......
